First Nations Tax Exemption 

CRA requires Business Owners to collect information for First Nation People to be Tax exempt. One Crafty Mi'kmaq will honour First Nations Tax Exemption according to CRA requirements.

To have your First Nations tax exemption applied at the time of the order, you must submit the requested information prior to placing your order to see the tax exemption at the time of checkout. Please note that One Crafty Mi’kmaq is unable to refund taxes after an order has been placed. Click here for more information.

Step 1: Create an account through the One Crafty Mi’kmaq online store here:

Step 2: Email the following information to: onecraftymikmaq@gmail.com

1. Full name
2. Date of Birth
3. Email
4. On reserve address (First Nations Community in Canada) for shipping
5. Status Card number
6. Registry number
7. Registry Group (First Nations Band Name)
8. A copy or photo of your valid Status Card (you must include both sides of your status card)

Step 3: One Crafty Mi’kmaq will send you a confirmation email when your account has been set up for First Nations Tax Exemption. Please note: One Crafty Mi'kmaq will review emails regarding First Nations Tax Exemption within 5 business days.

Are you taking any small or custom orders?  

Unfortunately, One Crafty Mi'kmaq is not taking any small or custom orders at this time. Products will be posted for purchase when they are complete. 

Can you tell me more about your stickers? 

One Crafty Mi’kmaq stickers have a permanent adhesive and are made of Vinyl. They are durable, scratch resistant, weatherproof and waterproof. You can use stickers for water bottles, notebooks, laptops and so much more!

Purchases that contain only stickers will be shipped by lettermail and will not include tracking. Once your order has been mailed you will receive an email or text message confirmation. 

What are your signs made of?

• One Crafty Mi'kmaq signs are made of real wood and hand painted which may cause variations in your finished product compared to the photos shown. Expect to see natural elements of the wood including knots, indentations, cracks, chips, holes, wood grain and other imperfections found in real wood. This adds character and beauty to the product. Please note: sign dimensions are approximate and can have a variance up to 2". 
• A majority of One Crafty Mi'kmaq signs are painted with Country Chic paint, Country Chic metallic accent cream and/or stained with Country Chic furniture glaze. Every sign is top coated with and eco-friendly clear coat also manufactured by Country Chic. 

Can I put my sign outside?

At this time One Crafty Mi'kmaq makes signs for indoor use only. Please keep out of direct sunlight.

Will there be a hanger on my sign? 

The mini signs are free standing (shelf sitters). If you would like a sawtooth hanger for your mini sign, please let me know in the comments and I will send one with your order (not attached). The signs that measure 5.5"x5.5", 4.5"x7" and 3.5"x8”-12" will have a sawtooth hanger attached. The signs that measure 5.5"x18" will come with D-ring hangers (not attached).  It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure signs are installed correctly and safely.   

Why does the product look different in person compared to the picture online?

Pictures of One Crafty Mi'kmaq's products are taken in different light conditions using various apple devices which may cause variations between the picture/s and the product/s received. 

 What if my order arrives damaged?

Even though all necessary measures are taken to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition, sometimes products get damaged in transit. Please contact me within 7 business days at: onecraftymikmaq@gmail.com and include a picture(s) of the damage.  The issue will be taken care of as soon as possible. It is my hope that you end up with products you love, and you receive it in perfect condition.

Returns and exchanges

Shipping

One Crafty Mi’kmaq will ship your order within 5 to 10 business days. Please note: One Crafty Mi'kmaq is not responsible for undelivered, mis-delivered mail due to an incorrect address or mishandling.
